DSD Multi-Display-System, now with intelligent sensor connection

The DSD flex was developed from the outset not only to display speeds, but also to graphically display information and warnings of all kinds.

A new feature is the connection with external sensors from third-party providers, which makes the system even more powerful and responsive. This allows us to inform citizens about potential dangers in real time - automatically, reliably and based on data.

We seamlessly connect the sensors via the AKDB Group's Smart Data Services (SDS). AKDB, an established partner of many cities and municipalities, enables secure and efficient data processing. The interaction with our myTrafficData platform ensures that the DSD flex is activated automatically or manually depending on the situation.

How our intelligent hazard control system works

1. sensors collect data and send it to SDS.
2. SDS processes the information and transmits it to our myTrafficData platform.
3. myTrafficData controls the DSD flex, depending on defined thresholds or manual input. 

When a certain event or threshold value is reached, the preconfigured image sequence with the warning is played on the DSD flex. The warning always has priority, regardless of whether the display is being used as a speed display or for other information at that moment.

- Temperature
- Particulate matter
- Solar radiation
- Wind direction and speed
- Precipitation

Warning and hazard messages that the DSD flex can display:

- Risk of icy roads
- Air quality information
- Risk of forest fires
- Risk of storms
- Risk of flooding

With this extension, we are turning the DSD flex into a state-of-the-art safety and environmental communication system - for communities that want to rely on intelligent, automated and effective hazard warnings.
